Hello all, back to the Eastern Region to publish what remains in my archive for the Saudi Street Project, I visited AlHasa at the heart of Hofuf city for an old and known area, when I arrived at the much older part which are mostly ruined & demolished which made feel sad deep inside, I’ve seen lots of this before but for some reason I felt emotional as if the places screams without a sound, continued to walk more until I reached the more lively part which most of the photos that I captured from there.
مرحبا بالجميع، عودة للمنطقة الشرقية لنشر ما تبقى لدي من الأرشيف لمشروع حياة الشارع السعودي، قمت بزيارة محافظة الأحساء وسط مدينة الهفوف لزيارة حي قديم ومعروف وهو حي النعاثل، وصلت من الناحية الأقدم في الحي وكان هناك الكثير من المنازل المهجورة والمهدمة وهذا الذي وبدون سابق انذار جعلني أشعر بالحزن تجاه هذا المكان، رأيت مثل هذه المشاهد عدة مرات ولكن لسبب ما كنت عاطفياً تجاه هذا الحي وكأن المكان يصرخ بدون صوت، تابعت طريقي حتى وصلت إلى الجزء الأكثر حياة وكانت معظم النتائج منها.
Like always, I like to put the first photos from the first scenes I get when I started the walk, a grocery store, the area name sign & few people
كما هو معتاد أحب أن أضع المشاهد الأولى التي واجهتها في جولتي، بقالة صغيرة، لائحة وعليها اسم الحي، وأناس عشوائيون
Some of the demolished houses but I wanted to show that within all of this there are people living in between & there is life
بعض المنازل المهدمة ولكن أردت أوضح أن بين هذا الخراب هناك أناس يعيشون وهناك حياة
The old blue color that some of the old houses famous of from the inside, it seems that the owner painted it from the outside long time ago
اللون الأزرق العتيق الذي اشتهر في بعض البيوت القديمة من الداخل، يبدو أن مالك البيت أراد اظهار ذلك عن طريق صبغه خارجاً
The children of the area & their bicycles | أطفال وشباب الحي مع دراجاتهم الهوائية
In the old areas you will always notice the old cars, the first photo is 1980s Toyota Hilux and the 2nd photo is 1987 Chevrolet Caprice
في الأحياء القديمة لابد أن تلاحظ السيارات القديمة، في الصورة الأولى تويوتا هايلكس من موديل الثمانينيات والصورة الثانية لشفرولية كابريس من أواخر موديل الثمانينيات
