Day 72 – Qatif

Hello all, today I’m gonna show photos from a walk of a place I published before which is AlKhamis market which is a weekly market held Saturday (to read more about it check Day 62), I visited this market more then once nevertheless it was really great to visit the market again and capture new scenes & stories.

مرحبا جميعاً، اليوم سأقوم بعرض صور من جولة قمت بها لمكان نشرت عنه مسبقاً، سوق الخميس وهو سوق أسبوعي يقام كل يوم سبت (للقراءة أكثر عن هذا الأمر والمسمى راجع تدوينة يوم ٦٢)، لي عدة زيارات للسوق ومع ذلك كان الأمر رائعاً زيارة السوق مرة اخرى لإلتقاط مشاهد جديدة وقصص جديدة.

I arrived so early before the sunrise & straight for the bird market where most of the people who come for the market goes there

وصلت مبكراً قبل شروق الشمس وتوجهت مباشرة إلى سوق الطيور حيث عادة يكون الازدحام وتوجه الناس إلى هناك

Woman is bargaining the seller over a couple of chickens

امرأ تتفاوض مع بائع على شراء كمية من الدجاج

Young man holding a pigeon which he came here to the market to sell it

شاب واقف وهو حامل حمامة بيده بإنتظار أحد ما يقوم بشراءه منه

And on the other side of the market there was a small auction over a unique type of pigeons

وفي الجهة الأخرى من السوق كان يوجد حراج صغير على نوع مميز من الحمام

This is old man has an interesting story that I couldn’t get it in full, he say’s that he has a hobby of collecting photos of people from relatives, neighbors & anyone else from his village in Qatif, and those people are all deceased, he has some in his wallets & a lot more in an album at home, but sadly he stopped talking more about it so that’s all I know

هذا الرجل المسن لديه قصة مثيرة للاهتمام والتي لم أستطع أن أحصل عليها بتفاصيلها، يقول أنه لديه هواية جمع صور من الأقارب والجيران وأي شخص اخر من قريته بالقطيف والصور تعود لأشخاص متوفيين، لديه بعض الصور في محفظته وأكثر من ذلك في ألبوم في منزله، بعد ذلك توقف عن الحديث عن الموضوع لذا هذا كل ما أعرفه

Some sellers from the bird market and it’s clear that most of them are Saudi people

بعض الباعة في سوق الطيور ومن الواضح أن أغلبهم هم أشخاص سعوديون

There were a lot of women sellers in the market, but the majority don’t like photographers

هناك الكثير من الباعة من النساء ولكن الأغلبية لا يحبون المصورين
