Hello all, today’s post is back to the capital Riyadh city, I went to the main market for selling, junks, used items and some cheap things in anything you could imagine, the market is located south of the city and it’s called “Haraj Bin Qassem”. I only vistied the market once and as I was told, most of market has been rebuilt & arranged the seling spaces more.
مرحبا جميعاً، تدوينة اليوم تعود من العاصمة الرياض، ذهبت إلى السوق الرئيسي لبيع الخرداوات، الأشياء المستخدمة و بعض الأشياء رخيصة ثمن ويمكن أن تجدون أي شيء تتوقعونه، السوق يقع في جنوب الرياض ويطلق عليه اسم “حراج بن قاسم”. قمت بزيارة السوق مرة واحدة فقط وقد علمت أن السوق منذ فترة قد أعيد انشاءه وترتيب أماكن البيع.
The market was large and had so may areas that I couldn’t know from which I should start my walk, finally I started from here the cloth market mostly women dresses, some are used & other are (look) new and yes it’s a normal thing to showcase used cloths spreading randomly on the floor in the 2nd photo
السوق كان ذو مساحة كبيرة ويحتوي على عدة أجزاء للدرجة التي لم أستطع بالبداية أن أعرف من أين أبدأ جولة التصوير، بالأخير بدأت من هنا سوق الملابس المستخدمة وبالغالب يوجد فقط فساتين وملابس للنساء، البعض منها مستخدم والبعض الأخير (يبدو) جديد، وبكل تأكيد الملابس المبعثرة على الارض بشكل عشوائي في الصورة الثانية هو أمر طبيعي للغاية
After that I found myself in the furniture section, again the same thing new furniture & used ones, other then that nothing more interested rather then the 2 people in the 3rd photo who were enjoying tea with the nice weather & not surprisingly didn’t agree at first for the photo
بعد ذلك وجدت نفسي في قسم الأثاث ومرة اخرة يوجد أثاث جديد ومستعمل، غير ذلك لا يوجد شيء مثير للإهتمام كثيراً بإستثناء الشخصين في الصورة الثالثة كانوا يستمتعون بشرب الشاي في ظل الأجواء اللطيفة وبشكل غير مفاجئ لم يوافقوا في البداية على الصورة
After walking between the hangers in the furniture section, I came out and found what I was really wanted to see which is the junks that being sold in the market, first of all it’s not a bad thing and there are lots of people who buys it either they have low budget or just someone needs something old & specific
بعد المشي بين محلات الأثاث، خرجت من ذلك القسم ووجدت ما أردت العثور عليه منذ البداية وهو مساحات بيع الخرداوات في السوق، بالبداية بيعها ليس بالأمر السيء أبداً لانه يوجد الكثير من الناس الذي يقومون بالشراء من هنا سواء كانوا اشخاص ذو مقدر مادية منخفضة أو أشخاص يبحثون عن غرض قديم ومعين
Small but yet simple ice-cream booth located between lots of junks spaces in the market and it looks like it has a good reputation here
كشك لبيع الآيس كريم صغير ولكن بسيط موجود وسط مساحات بيع الخردوات في السوق ويبدو أن له شعبية بين مرتادي السوق والعاملين به
Some of the Saudi sellers who were very welcoming and agreed to be photographed, did I mention that these kind of markets have the most stubborn people? I always find it hard to get the permission to photograph at close
بعض البائعين السعوديين والذي كانوا مرحبين ولا يمانعون التصوير، هل ذكرت لكم أن هذا النوع من الأسواق يحتوي على أشخاص عنيدين؟ دائماً أوجه صعوبة في الحصول على الاذن للتصوير عن قرب
Old & vintage car that has some stories behind it, apparently they tried to change a flat tire but stopped in the middle of it
سيارة قديمة وعتيقة وتحتوي على الكثير من القصص، يبدو أنهم كانوا يحاولون تغيير احدى العجلات وتوقفوا في منتصف العملية
He was reading a book while he’s kids are helping him out, when I got closer he raised the book in front of his face to cover it while he didn’t mind his kids to be photographed
كان يقرأ كتاب بينما أبنائه يساعدونه، عندما اقتربت أكثر قام برفع الكتاب وتغطية وجهه لكي لا يظهر بالصورة بشكل قريب ولكنه لم يمانع أن أقوم بتصوير أبناءه

هذه الصورة تقول الكثير
Another Saudi seller in this junk yard, I can’t imagine what stories he might have hidden
بائع سعودي اخر في ساحة الخردة، لا أستطيع تخيل القصص المخبئة التي يحملها هذا الشخص
Group of men gather here to chat & drink tea in the middle of the junk yard, amazingly they were welcoming
مجموعة من الأشخاص يلتقون هنا للأحاديث وشرب الشاي في وسط ساحة الخردة، كانوا مرحبين لي بشكل مذهل
Some random photos from the junk yard which only describe little about the market and I don’t know for sure if it’s still there or not
بعض الصور العشوائية من ساحة الخردة والتي تصف القليل فقط عن هذا السوق ولا أعلم إن كانت لا تزال موجودة أو لا
