Hello all, today’s post will be from Dammam city, I went to the old area “AlDwaser area” in Dammam which is one of 2 oldest area there, Day 05 – Dammam was from the same area so you can check it out first. Anyhow this visit was first of many visits later because the place & the people there are always making you come back for more moments to capture, I met some people & went to old places I visited in my first visit in 2013 and that’s why this is my favorite place to photograph.
مرحبا جميعاً، تدوينة اليوم هي من مدينة الدمام، قمت بزيارة الحي القديم في الدمام “حي الدواسر” وهو أحد اثنين من الاحياء القديمة جداً هناك، تدوينة اليوم ٥ – الدمام كانت من نفس الحي لذا تستطيعون مشاهدتها أولاً. على كل حال هذه كانت الزيارة الاولى لعدة زيارات تمت لاحقاً بسبب أن المكان والناس هناك يجعلونك تعود من أجل المزيد من اللحظات التي تريد إلتقاطها، إلتقيت هناك ببعض الاشخاص وذهبت إلى أماكن قديمة قمت بزيارتها سابقاُ في عام ٢٠١٣ ولهذا السبب هذا الحي من الأماكن المفضلة لدي لتصويرها.
When I first visit the area, I walk to this street where there is an old abandoned house in such a perfect location, not sure why it’s like this, but if the owner or anyone just took a little care of it, it would make a great place to visit
عندما أزور هذا الحي، دائماً أتي من هذا الشارع الذي يوجد عليه بيت قديم وشعبي مهجور في مكان مثالي، لا أعلم لماذا هو مهجور ولكن لو يقوم المالك أو أي احد اخر بالاهتمام به فقط بشكل بسيط سيكون مكان رائع للزيارة
People who live nearby used to sit near this old grocery shop which is owned & named by person who also live here
الناس الذين يعيشون بالقرب من هنا معتادون على الجلوس بجانب هذه البقالة القديمة والتي يملكها وتحمل اسم شخص من سكان الحي
I often get attracted to cars parked beside the door, it tells a story somehow about the person how lives in the house
عادة أنجذب لمشاهد السيارات المتوقفة بجانب أبواب المنزل، بطريقة ما هي تحكي قصة عن الشخص الذي يعيش في ذلك المنزل
More old houses, doors & windows that makes this area old, every year more & more houses are being demolished and replaced with typical boring buildings which will slowly kill the history within this area
المزيد من المنازل القديمة، الابواب والنوافذ والتي تجعل هذا الحي قديماً كما هو، كل سنة تزداد عمليات هدم المنازل القديمة وتستبدل بمباني تقليدية مملة والذي سيقتل بشكل بطيء تاريخ هذا الحي
I think they are all brothers or at least related, you can notice in the 2nd photo how the middle kid is barefoot which at some point in our childhood we did the same
هؤلاء جميعهم أخوة أو على الأقل أقارب، الطفل الواقف بالمنتصف في الصورة الثانية حافي القدمين وهو شيء في وقت ما في طفولتنا قمنا به جميعاً
Random writing in the area which aren’t many of them like a lot of other cities
كتابة عشوائية في الحي وهو شيء قليل وجوده هنا مقارنة بكثير من المدن الاخرى

This old man come here and meet others, but he said today is just a busy day for most and usually it’s crowded at the weekends
هذا الرجل المسن يأتي هنا بشكل مستمر ويلتقي بأخرين، لكن يقول أن اليوم الأغلب منشغل وعادة في العطلة الأسبوعية يصبح المكان مزدحم
So this tent has lots of stories, I took photos here more then once, back in 2013 the tent was very different because after 2 years there were a fire and the most of it was burned, but the old men who come here worked together and brought it back to life. I did a story on some of them you can find it here
هذه الخيمة لديها الكثير من القصص، وقمت بالتصوير هنا أكثر من مرة، في عام ٢٠١٣ كانت الخيمة مختلفة تماماً لأنه وبعد سنتين تقريباً حدث حريق في الخيمة وتضرر معظمها، ولكن مرتادوها من كبار السن عملوا معاً لإعادة احيائها من جديد. قمت بعمل قصة عن بعضهم تجدونها هنا
