Hello all, today I’m gonna share you from the 2nd largest city in Saudi Arabia which is Jeddah, I only posted 2 posts about it and only from one area (Day 33 – Old Jeddah and Day 34 – Old Jeddah). Because the city is huge it needed more exploring so I was in quick visit to city and took the opportunity and went to an old area called AlRewais area and there I walked around for 2 hours, the people their were nice & welcoming.

مرحبا جميعاً، اليوم سأقوم بمشاركتكم صور من ثاني أكبر مدينة في السعودية وهي مدينة جدة، قمت فقط بنشر تدوينتين فقط من هذه المدينة ومن حي واحد فقط (اليوم ٣٣ – جدة القديمة و اليوم ٣٤ – جدة القديمة). لأنه المدينة كبيرة كانت تحتاج إلى استكشاف أكثر لذا كنت في زيارة سريعة للمدينة وتوجهت إلى أحد الأحياء القديمة ويسمى حي الرويس وهناك تجولت قرابة الساعتين تقريباً، الناس هناك كانوا لطيفين ومرحبين.

Day 60 – AlBukariyah

Hello all, today’s post is from another small city in Qassim Region which is AlBukariyah city, naturally I went downtown for the market but it was so small it was only on 1 street & that’s it, I already arrived a bit late about 1 hour before sunset so while walking I noticed an old area with lots of old traditional houses which some are still used so I decided to focus on this side while I have time, the weather was cloudy all the time since it’s December which wasn’t good at that time. This photowalk was part of my trip to Qassim Region in December 2015.

مرحبا جميعاً، تدوينة اليوم من أيضاً مدينة صغيرة اخرى في منطقة القصيم وهي مدينة البكيرية، توجهت إلى وسط المدينة من أجل الوصول إلى السوق ولكن تفاجأت أن مساحة السوق صغيرة جداً ولا تتعدى الشارع الواحد فقط، وصلت متأخراً بعض الشيء تقريباً قبل ساعة واحدة من الغروب لذا أثناء ذهابي إلى السوق لاحظت أحد الأحياء يحتوي على كمية كبيرة من البيوت الشعبية التقليدية المستخدم بعضها لذا قررت التركيز على هذا الجانب بينما لدي الوقت، الأجواء كانت مليئة بالسحب طوال الوقت بما أنه كان شهر ديسمبر وهذا الشيء لم يكن جيداً في ذلك الوقت. هذه الجولة كانت من ضمن رحلتي لمنطقة القصيم في ديسمبر ٢٠١٥.

Day 49 – Jazan Part 2

Hello all, another post from my last trip to the South of Saudi Arabia in Jazan Region, if you haven’t seen Part 1 of Jazan please do. The photowalk was in the central market in Jazan which was near the coast and surrounding it was an old area basically on a small mountain, here are some of the photos!

Day 47 – Tabuk Part 1

Hello all and I’m back again with the 3rd city which was in my last trip to the north of Saudi Arabia for my Street Project, this one is Tabuk city, Tabuk Region. It’s located in the north west of the country, when I first arrived I drove around the city which was quiet small and you can get used to it fast, so anyway I was looking for area which was good for my project and luckily I found a few, so I went back to the hotel and rested for an hour then I went straight to that area, it was kinda old but not with random streets, most of the residence were foreign people, it was so large a 2 hour walk wasn’t enough. Anyway here are some of the photos I’ve captured there.

مرحبا مجدداً وعودة مرة اخرى مع المدينة الثالثة التي كانت ضمن رحلتي الأخيرة لشمال السعودية لمشروع حياة الشارع، وهذه المدينة هي تبوك من منطقة تبوك، تقع في الشمال الغربي من المملكة. عندما وصلت هناك بدأت بالقيادة حول المدينة والتي يبدو أن بعد وقت قصير بالإمكان أن تتعود عليها سريعاً لذلك بدأت بالبحث عن أحياء تخدمني في التصوير من اجل المشروع ولحسن الحظ كان هناك عدة أحياء جيدة، عدت للفندق لبعض الراحة ومن ثم إنطلقت لأحد الأحياء والذي كان قديماً بعض الشيء ولكن لم يكن عشوائياُ بالتخطيط، معظم سكانه كانوا من الأجانب وكان الحي ضخماً لدرجة أن ساعتين من المشي لم تكن تكفي أبداً. على أي حال هذي هي بعض الصور التي قمت بتصويرها هناك.

Day 46 – Sakaka Part 2

In the 2nd part of Sakaka city part of AlJouf Region which was in my last trip to the north of Saudi Arabia. If you haven’t seen the Part 1 of Sakaka please visit here. I visited one of the oldest areas in the city which still have a few old houses with random alleys, I liked walking there even though at that time there wasn’t sign of a lot of activity by the residence of the area.

في الجزء الثاني من مدينة سكاكا ضمن منطقة الجوف والتي كانت من رحلتي إلى شمال السعودية، إذا لم تشاهدوا الجزء الأول من سكاكا اضغط هنا. قمت بزيارة أحد الأحياء القديمة بالمدينة والتي لا تزال تحوي على بعض البيوت القديمة المهجور بعضها وأيضاً على الممرات الضيقة العشوائية، لم يكن الوقت الذي اخترته جيداً نظراً لعدم وجود نشاط من سكان الحي.

Day 45 – Arar Part 2

Hello and back again after more then month away from this blog. I’ll begin with this one sharing the latest photos from my last trip to the north of Saudi Arabia. So now it’s Part 2 from Arar city from the Northern Border Region if you haven’t seen Part 1 you can view it from here. In this part I visited the local auction market for selling about anything used, I thought since it was gonna be crowded but apparently it’s not that popular here as some of the seller said, I met some nice people there to get to know the place more. Also because I really wanted to visit another area but sadly for some reasons I won’t say instead when I left the market heading back to my friends house I stopped by and took some photos on the way, here are some of the photos!

مرحبا بكم وعودة مجددة بعد غياب أكثر من شهر عن المدونة، سأبدأ بمشاركتكم صوري الاخيرة من رحلتي الاخيرة إلى شمال المملكة العربية السعودية. والان مع الجزء الثاني من مدينة عرعر من منطقة الحدود الشمالية، إذا لم تشاهد الجزء الأول حتى الان اضغط هنا. في هذا الجزء قمت بزيارة سوق الحراج المحلي للمدينة والمسمى ب “سوق الخَردة” ومثل ما هو متعارف السوق مشهور بتواجد الباعة لبيع الأشياء المستخدمة وأحياناً قديمة، لم أتوقع أن أرى السوق هكذا بلا ازدحام يذكر وعلى حسب افادة البعض هناك أن هذا الامر طبيعي هنا. أيضاً بعد أن انتهيت من السوق ولأنني كنت أود كثيراً التصوير في حي سكني اخر ولكن لم أستطع لأسباب لن أقولها، في طريق العودة لبيت صديقي توقفت على جانب الطريق وإلتقطت صور لهذا الحي، وهذه بعض الصور!

Day 44 – Unaizah Part 2

Back again, I’m trying to edit and publish the photos I have at the moment. If you haven’t seen Part 1 of Unaizah please do, this was a quick walk in the central vegetable market in Unaizah what I noticed that most of the sellers are Saudis which is really a good thing, it was very cold morning as I remember. Hope you enjoy it!

عودة مرة اخرى، أحاول في هذه الفترة معالجة وتجهيز ونشر الصور التي لدي. إذا لم تشاهدوا الجزء الأول من عنيزة فأنصحكم بفعل ذلك أولاً، كانت هذه الجولة سريعة بعض الشيء في السوق المركزي للخضار في عنيزة وما لاحظته أن أغلب المتواجدين هناك من الباعة سعوديين وهذا شيء جيداً جداً! كان صباحاً بارداً كما أتذكره، لذا استمتعوا بالصور

Day 43 – Buraydah Part 1

Finally back to continue publishing through my Saudi Street Project. Last month I went to Al-Qassim Region where I visited a couple of cities there, in this one I’ll start showing you Buraydah city which is the main city in Al-Qassim, I went to a popular market called AlJaradah, I spent my entire morning there and the surrounding area, it was worth it despise some said it’s not a place where people agree with photography but I did anyways

عدت لإكمال نشر مشروع حياة الشارع السعودي من خلال هذه المدونة. الشهر الماضي قمت بالذهاب في رحلة إلى منطقة القصيم وقمت بزيارة عدة مدن بها، في هذه التدوينة سأبدأ مع مدينة بريدة وهي المدينة الرئيسية في القصيم، ذهبت إلى أحد الأسواق ويدعى سوق الجردة وأمضيت صباحي هناك متجولاً في السوق وما حوله ولقد كان الأمر يستحق على الرغم من أن البعض قال لي بأن هناك من لن يرغب بالتصوير ولكن ذهبت على أي حال

Day 39 – Al-Hasa

Hello all, finally a new day from my project and this time it’s from AlHasa, Mubarraz from one of the oldest area that this city has. It was a smooth photo walk because I had the chance to scout the area before coming back to take street photos for my project. Anyway I don’t have much to say so enjoy the photos !

مرحبا بكم، يوم جديد لمشروعي أخيراً وهذه المرة من منطقة الأحساء مدينة المبرز من أحد الأحياء القديمة بها. لقد كانت جولة انسيابية اذا صح القول بسبب أنه كانت لدي الفرصة باستكشاف المكان سابقاً قبل أن آتي مجدداً  للتصوير. على كل حال ليس لدي الكثير لقوله غير أمنيتي أن تستمتعوا بالصور والجولة ! Day 38 – Riyadh

Hello all, this post is from the Capital of Saudi Arabia Riyadh ! In this city different culture, different people and the most crowded city in the country ! literally I needed at least half an hour to get from one side to another side. Anyway I’ve met with one of my friend who is interested in street photography and led me to a famous traditional market in the south. I’ve gone there twice because the first time was at the evening and got there a little late before sunset ( The perfect time is before sunset at least 2 hours & half ) so I took only a few photos I will show it first and got to know the place better with my friend’s help, then in the next morning I’ve got up early and gone there by myself where I felt a lot comfortable and had a lot of time to photograph which led to an great collection of photos even a place beside the market too. So I hope you like my walk there !

مرحبا بكم جميعا، هذه التدوينة من عاصمة المملكة العربية السعودية، الرياض ! في هذه المدينة عادات مختلفة وثقافات مغايرة، أشخاص مختلفون وأيضاً لا ننسى أنها تحتوي على الكثافة السكانية الأعلى في الدولة ! حرفياً كنت أحتاج إلى نصف ساعة على الأقل لأنتقل من جهة إلى اخرى من المدينة. على كل حال إلتقيت بأحد الأصدقاء والذي لديه إهتمام في تصوير الشارع وحياة الناس وقد نصحني بالذهاب إلى أحد الأسواق الشعبية الشهيرة في جنوب الرياض ( سوق الزل والثميري ) ذهبت هناك مرتين وذلك بسبب أن اليوم الأول بالمساء وصلت قبل غروب الشمس بساعة تقريباً  ( الوقت المثالي للتصوير في المساء قبل الغروب بساعتين ونصف على الأقل ) لذا إلتقطت صور قليلة جداً وسأعرضها هنا بالطبع وأيضاً كانت فرصة جيدة لأتعرف على السوق وممراته بمساعدة صديقي، وبعد ذلك في الصباح التالي نهضت مبكراً وإتجهت هناك مباشرة لوحدي وشعرت بأريحية كبيرة لمعرفتي بالمكان مسبقاً وهذا ما قادني إلى إلتقاط العديد من الصور الجيدة في هذا السوق وفي حي صغير يجاوره مباشرة. أتمنى أن تروق لكم هذه المجموعة !
