Day 42 – Khamis Mushait

So this is the last post from my trip to Asir & Najran, this is a city called Khamis Mushait that is only 20 min away from Abha so I decided to make a quick visit to it’s central market, since it’s a market and I’ve come in a busy morning, I’ve decided to only photograph with my X100s aiming only for street shots. After opening the folder and reviewing my results, I found out that most are just street shots and a few documentary so I wanted to present all of it only in black & white. Hope you enjoy this one!

Note: I don’t have caption for most of the photos, so you’re gonna see them in sets

اذن هذه هي أخر تدوينة من رحلتي الاخير والتي كانت لمنطقة عسير ونجران، هذه المدينة تسمى ب خميس مشيط وهي بالقرب من مدينة أبها قرابة ٢٠ دقيقة بالسيارة لذلك قررت القيام بزيارة سريعة للسوق المركزي للمدينة، بما أنه كان سوقاً في صباح مزدحم نوعاً، قررت التصوير بكاميرا اكس ١٠٠ اس لهدف الحصول على حياة الشارع فقط. بعد فتح المجلد الخاص بالنتائج، تبين لي أن معظم الصور فعلاً كانت من حياة الشارع وقليل هي الصور التوثيقية للمكان لذلك أردت أن اقدمها لكم بالأسود والأبيض فقط. أتمنى أن تستمتعوا بها!

It was a busy morning, still women were the least of the people that I encountered

كان صباحاً مزدحماً نوعاً ما، ولكن النساء كانوا قليلين نسبياً

It said “To make a keychain with you name printed head to the office near the named building” just caught my eye

مكتوب “لصناعة ميدالية باسمك وطلبك إلى مكتب أبشر عمارة بن جلبان” مجرد شيء لفت انتباهي بأنه مكتوب على الجدار وبهذا الخط

One of my favorite thing is to capture a self portrait in the street

أحد الأمور المفضلة لدي هو إلتقاط صورة لنفسي في الشارع

Another man with an unknown story, sometimes I wish to have to time sit around with the people like him

رجل اخر بقصة غير معروفة، أحيانا أتمنى يكون لدي الوقت الكافي للجلوس والتحدث مع أشخاص مثلهم

I later found out that the oldest area in this city is right beside this market, when I got there I didn’t waste any time and starting capturing the place. Because it’s almost noon the place was lifeless

لاحقاً عرفت أن أقدم حي في المدينة موجود بجانب السوق مباشرة، عندما وصلت هناك بدأت بالتصوير دون تضييع الوقت، ولأنه كان وقت الظهر كان المكان بلا حياة
